Bros. Win Queens Title for the 3rd Time!

Mike and Bob Bryan beat Max Mirnyi of Belarus and Sweden's Jonas Bjorkman, 7-6, 7-6 to win Queens for the 3rd time.  With their long time pal and Davis Cup teammate, Andy Roddick (who won the singles earlier in the day for the 3rd time also), rooting for the Bros. in the stands, the Bryans beat Mirnyi-Bjorkman for the 3rd time this year, after losing to them in 3 sets at the finals of the French Open just last Saturday.

The Bros. will play a series of exhibitions in London next week getting ready for Wimbledon which begins on June 20.  Bob is slated to play singles against Andre Agassi while the Bros. will play doubles against various teams, including the Zimbabwe tandem of Wayne Black-Kevin Ullyett.

Fast Facts:

*** The Queens title was the Bryan's 23rd Doubles Championship of their career.  They have also reached 17 finals, lifetime.

*** At the tournament  this week,  Mike & Bob also defeated Mario Ancic-Jeff Coetzee, Sebastien Grosjean-Arnaud Clement,  and Simon Aspelin-Todd Perry.

*** The Bryans are 32-10 on the year having also won Scottsdale and reaching the finals of the Australian Open,  the French Open,  Memphis,  Monte Carlo,  and Rome.

*** Since starting the European campaign in Monte Carlo in April, the twins have gone on an 18-5 streak.

*** Mike and Bob are currently the #2 team in the world and are just 27 points behind the #1 team, Bjorkman-Mirnyi.

*** Following Wimbledon, the Bros. will play Los Angeles,  Washington DC,  Montreal,  Cincy, and the US Open.  They will also be Marquee Players in World Team Tennis and play four matches for Kansas City in mid July.
